Artist's Comments

The finished product of my earlier sketch. This was actually one of the first drawings I've tried to incorporate a background/border.

...And failed miserably. xD;

Well, honestly, I was doing such a great job on coloring and shading my characters until I went out of the lines! >___<; So, in order to cover it up, I tried using a darker shade of purple to overlap the lighter shade. Somebody didn't tell me I can't color right, so it looked all funky with that purple. (I could've opted to use my colorless blender, but I didn't because that'd be too long and I don't feel like dishing out some more cash to get replacements when I ate up two of them)

So, moving on with the border, I originally tried coloring it with colored pencils as always. However, I didn't like the stars I had made, so I hunted around my house for some black markers and scribbled all over the border. Then I took my brother's white out to dot in the areas where the stars were located (as well as add some extra ones). Overall, I'm happy with how this came out.

About the nude thing, I normally don't draw people like this, but I got lazy this go around. I mean, really lazy. So, I left clothes off because I didn't want to mess with them and figure out the curves and wrinkles and whatnot. If anyone's offended about it, I'll switch it to mature, but I don't really see anything offending. o.o;

Estimated time - Three hours, maybe a little more, maybe a little less. I was talking on MSN too. xD
Tools - Crayola black marker, Prisma colors, a Knead eraser, White out, a ruler, and a mechanical pencil.

haha... I think it looks cool enough. My only compliant is the guys chest sticks out more then his arms are. Its like his chest is super muscular while his arms and biceps are not lol.

Hm~ I don't quite see that. Well, maybe a little. xD; Okay then, thanks for the advice. I'll keep an eye out for those in the future. :3

@_@;

Never thought you would do something like that haha. But I concur about the difficulties of clothes.
Well, you know...me being me...I gotta give some critique.

The main thing that stands out as being "unrealistic" is your right arm...the way the neck and body connects at the shoulder joint make it as though your body's only a couple of inches thick right there.

But overall, nice work on the shading with the prismacolors...it's too bad I lost all of mine lol.

Yeah, I thought about that when I got done coloring it. I'm thinking it's the angle of the head that I messed up on. It should've been more slanted inward than outward, so that's why the torso seems misplaced. Thanks for the advice though. I'll watch out for that too.

And thanks again for the compliment. I really appreciate it. :3

No the head looks pretty normal if you ask me. It's just the shoulder and the latissimus area...need to be moved way up. Almost as if your arm would cover the lower part of your face.
But drawing humans is hella hard. You'd never catch me in an attempt to do something that complicated, I'll stick to my technical drawings and face portraits. =)

Well, it strikes me as a style completely her own. I don't think it's bad at all.

Well, when you look at "Persistence of Memory" by Salvador Dali, you wouldn't think of melting clocks being wrong, would you? He's just conveying his message.
